    Best restaurant for dieters

Eating out is a huge downfall for dieters. Most menus are full of food that's bad for you. There's always a few items that are healthy but it seems like the restaurant didn't go out of it's way to be creative and come up with good healthy choices.

What restaurants have you been to that have a lot of good for you choices on their menu?

Applebys always seemed a good choice to me. They have the Weight Watchers menu, so you can see really clearly and easily what is a heathly choice (if you have any idea about the WW point system).

I like Souper Salad.  They're a salad bar that has an amazing selection of veggies and other healthy salad toppings to build a really healthy, really filling salad.  They've also got a soup bar and a potato bar.  I know potatoes get a bad wrap, but if you get the smallest one you can find and top it with salsa instead of butter and cheese, it's tasty and filling to go along with your veggie goodness!

There is a place locally called Dishes, that is a make and take place. You go there, make your food there and take it home. They have a good salad bar, lots of good choices to be made. We go there a lot.

Ruby Tuesday has a great salad bar with a lot of choices. Applebee's has Weight Watchers. Other than those I can't really think of anywhere that's truly a healthy choice. Sad, but true.

I've found any restaurant at all is just fine anywhere in the world. We just need to learn to make more informed choices when ordering from the menu. Taste and quality don't need to be affected by counting calories.

I think that's true about making more more informed choices being a key, but I really like the restaurants that put the calories and fat on the menu for me.  I'm still learning so I really like having that help right now.  Like when I went to Chili's the other night and they had a whole section in their menu of healthy choices.  It surprised me that the salad I was about to order wasn't in there so I changed my mind before the server got there and I felt really good about my choice.

I disagree. There is a restaurant in Clearfield, PA, that specialises in burgers as big as babies!! Their biggest has six full pounds of beef in it-I'd challenge anyone to eat healthy somewhere like that!

My favorites are any with a good salad bar.  Then I can put together what I want and it always comes out the way I want it.  I'll often just to the soup and salad off a salad bar rather than ordering an entree.

I think a sushi restaurant or a general seafood restaurant is the best for those of us watching what we eat. Seafood is very healthy and low in calories and sushi is delcious!

Here in the UK we have Pizza Hut restaurants which have recently renamed themselves "Pasta Hut" and they now concentrate on serving healthy pasta meals.

Yes I have been and sampled the pasta dishes. They are delicious! They always did sell pasta as well as pizza but were more well known for the pizza because of their name. This is a good marketing move when people are looking for the healthy option.
