rain is the worst offender by a long shot - cycling in the rain is very bad - you end up soaked !! cold weather is good, as long as its clear, as with hot weather. the only advantage of hot weather is that you dont need to wear lots of clothing, but you do need to drink more water.

Re: Hot or Cold Weather, which is best for exercise?

While I'm no fan of close weather, I think it's easier to work out in than hot weather. I live in Texas and over the summer, it's not only uncomfortable to work out, it's dangerous. People have to work out indoors or make sure to stay VERY hydrated if they're outside.

Oh, by the way, Nikki, I hated running outside in the cold, too!
I have tried both and both have their up and downside. When it is especially cold in Winter, I hate stripping off to exercise but keeping clothes on can hinder anything you try to do. On the other hand, once you have warmed up, it does feel good. In the Summer when it is very hot I get sweaty and tired too quickly then I have to stop. I also have to take in a lot more water so I have to stop more often. On the other hand, I can strip off to begin with and I can exercise on the beach and in the sea, which feels good.

I prefer the latter!
